After leaving the USA, we were about to land when a very heavy storm ⛈ forced our plane to be rerouted to another airport. We landed 40 minutes later at a different airport and had to wait on the airstrip without disembarking for 2 hour and 40 minutes. The weather cleared and the π« could take off.
By now we had missed our connecting flight and was sent to a hotel that we reached at 2:15am, only to get up at 6am for our final flight.
Precious time had been lost and when we checked our bags we learnt that this flight was also delayed, and that the earliest we would arrive at the destination where the students were already waiting since early that morning, was 3 in the afternoon.
We had lost 14 hours, and it was clear that the enemy was not going to make this one easy. Fortunately so many people were praying for us, and most of all we knew that our Father in heaven's time would always be perfect.
Raymond achieved the almost unthinkable task of going through the whole book of Daniel, verse by verse, all 12 chapters in just two and a half days!
The dedication shown by him and his nearly 80 students was something not often seen in our comfortable western world. These people were desperate for knowledge, passionate to understand prophesy and committed to finish what needed to be done in the limited time we had to our disposal. The fact that Raymond could give every single person a copy of his book on Daniel, in their own language made all the difference. They would also later receive a few extra copies to take with them and teach others.
What a joy I felt in my heart as I observed their response, chapter after chapter. They understood more of the world's history over the last 2600 years than ever before; but so much more than that, they started to understand the world we were living in today.
Finally, they now had a revelation of the future and their songs of joy, that filled the passages and rooms just after 5 am in the mornings, were continued in the evenings. It did not matter that there were only a few short breaks through the day, it did not matter that some had to travel over 40 hours by train to get there, the truth always has the power to set one free.
During last evening and final day of our stay, I had the privilege to see a significant percentage of the students, ranging from 27 to almost 70 years old, for their medical problems and questions. It was humbling to see how they trusted the Lord for their healing and how the tears rolled over their cheeks as I prayed with them.
Truly a remarkable and unforgettable experience to be a part of!

“But none of these things move me; neither do I esteem my life dear to myself, if only I may finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have obtained from [which was entrusted to me by] the Lord Jesus, faithfully to attest to the good news (Gospel) of God's grace (His unmerited favor, spiritual blessing, and mercy).”
